Introduction

DeeCee.ai turns scattered information and gut feelings into structured, defensible decisions. The agentic API lets any AI agent — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, your own script — reach for the same DACI, SPADE, and helix frameworks the DeeCee.ai web app uses, instead of winging a recommendation from scratch.

The core flow

1. Start a decision — give it a title, and context if you already have it (start_decision_brief / POST /v1/decisions)
2. Build context, if needed — interview conversationally (interview_next_question), then turn the conversation into a saved context (synthesize_context)
3. Assess and confirm setup — get a complexity/framework/title recommendation (assess_decision), then commit it (apply_decision_setup)
4. Run the analysis — stage-by-stage (advance_stage, recommended) or all at once (generate_framework_analysis)
5. Read the recommendation — pull the framework's final-stage output (get_recommendation)

Most of these steps are asynchronous: they return a job_id immediately, and you poll get_job until it completes. This is deliberate — LLM work can take anywhere from a few seconds to a minute, and agents that don't get an immediate response tend to retry, which is exactly what the job model and idempotency keys protect against.

Two ways in

Both surfaces share one auth system, one rate limiter, and one credit ledger — a request through either counts against the same quota.
